Hump Day- All about the humps and lovely lady lumps

Vacation Boobs!

Yes, this is a real thing. Vacation boobs, also known as "insta breast" is a 20 minute procedure that lets women physically enhance themselves for 24 hours.
I am undecided whether or not this is a good idea or if I should laugh. but hey I guess its a good way to test and see if you want to have plastic surgery or not. Want to look large for your wedding, sing up for insta breasts!
Now you can ditch the ever annoying underwire, padded bra, and chicken cutlets and look larger for a small amount of time. Dr. Norman Rowe says that while 24 hours is great, its still only 24 hours and he is working on creating an injection that will keep the appearance for 2-3 weeks.
How does it work? He injects women with a saline solution that makes the breasts swell temporarily to a larger size and then after 24 hours the saline is absorbed by the body and the breast deflate back to normal size. No mater what procedure you have done, there are always going to be positive and negative outcomes. Make sure you do your homework and read the reviews. One problem with insta boobs reviews is that there have been reports of boobs deflating to different sizes after the 24 hours.
Well great, now you have one A cup and one C cup. If you were doing this to see if you wanted to get plastic surgery or not, congrats, because now you have no choice! Haha. I'm not completely sold on this idea, but then again im also not looking for anything to pump them up. I may not have all the confidence I want, but I have enough for what I need and I am happy. I'm not judging you at all if you get it, more power to you. I just know that I wont be doing it any time soon.
Alright, that is all I got for now.

Sex on the First Date

Double Standards.

First off I want to say that Elite Daily is a fantastic website! A bunch of writers come together and post about life, controversial subjects and random humorous videos for example..  adorable dogs dressed as teddy bears.
Sorry I had to add it, I love that picture :)
Now switching subjects completely... Here's what I really wanted to talk about, sex. More importantly having sex on the first date. In the article on Elite Daily, it was all about how this guy would like to go on a 2nd date with a girl who gave it up on the 1st.  Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with people who choose to do it right away versus people who wait. The reason I chose to bring this up is because it failed to mention that every one is different.

Whatever choice you make, make sure you are ready to deal with the consequences if things come out poorly. You will find yourself dealing with one or more of the following types of people:
  1. They don't want to wait, and won't judge if you give in, because they want it as badly as you do.
  2. They use your feelings to their advantage to get you into bed. They have the mentality of wam bam thank you ma'am, have a great life, and enjoy their one night stand.
  3. They refer to you as Mary like the Virgin Mary as a clever way to call you a prude to their friends. (Gilmore girls gave me that nickname idea. lol)
  4. They respect your choice to keep it at an amazing first date kiss.
  5. People who are not even in this little "bed sheet tango" secretly, or not so secretly judge you from a far.
Here's where the double standards come into play. If you end up doing it, guys, you are gods gift to the world. The higher your number the bigger the prize for the girl who changes your ways and keeps you as their own. Girls you're either a lot of fun or a slut, congrats.
If you wait then the girl has self respect and is keeping it classy. If you're a guy, it goes one of two ways.. he's a gentleman OR there's clearly something wrong with him that he's hiding.. a small willy perhaps??

When it comes down to it, you need to focus on what you want and not what the other person wants. If you want to do it then let loose and have fun. If not then just wait. Its your choice, and whatever you choose, you are going to have to live with.
Reading this article, all I did was worry about the people who try to hold out on giving it up. I worry that they will take this one guys opinion and think its the opinion of everyone else out there. They will change their ways, give up something they weren't ready to give up in order to impress someone who might not have even been worth it. What if that one person they are trying to impress is the one night stand kind of person? They will be crushed and there is no way to get it back.
All I am trying to say is be smart. Make sure you do something you are mentally and physically ready to do. If you are not ready then wait. If you want to go for it, then go for it! Just be safe and have fun.
Well, that's all for now!

Book Talk Tuesday- Gone Girl

Last week:

Gone GirlWhat is it about? On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife's head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media--as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents--the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter--but is he really a killer?
As the cops close in, every couple in town is soon wondering how well they know the one that they love. With his twin sister, Margo, at his side, Nick stands by his innocence. Trouble is, if Nick didn't do it, where is that beautiful wife? And what was in that silvery gift box hidden in the back of her bedroom closet?

What do I think so far? Again, I am just starting, but I find myself trying to figure out why Amy and Nick are married. They claim they had a great relationship before they lost their jobs, but it sounds like Amy hates everything Nick does. I guess that's one of those " you can't help who you love" type relationships, but seriously. I just don't get it when some people are together. If you are crying more than you are laughing then that is a big sign!
I found in the huffingtonpost where a psychiatrist weighs in on mental state of Amy and all their problems. (contains spoilers) I don't suggest opening unless you have read the book already.
So far, I find myself disliking Nicks wife, Amy, a lot. I can't tell if it's because the book is written from Nicks perspective or what but she is just negative, stuck up, and nags soooo much! Girls are very good at being annoying (I'm allowed to say that being a girl and all) but maybe that's why I am siding with Nick right now. Who knows... I will tell you all more once I get a little more invested into the book!!!

This Week:

Now what do I think? I feel somewhat guilty because I am so happy she is gone! I don't mean that as I am happy this poor woman got taken to who knows where, but now the story is beginning! At first I hated Amy and their relationship. Now, seeing it from the beginning, I am undecided. They were so cute to begin with! How did it just change. I don't understand how you can be so head over heels for someone and then those feelings just fade away. Is it really possible for someone to just change that fast? I guess it it. Circumstances can cause a person to act cold or hold back, but this extreme change in their relationship seems a bit much to me. Then again Amy was taken away from everything she had known, so I guess that major change in her life could have caused her depression to worsen.
The book is starting to get interesting! Nick seems kinda off with dealing with the anger issues he inherited from his father. I mean.. who smiles at a press conference when your talking about your wife missing. No wonder people in the book suspect him. Amy herself is annoying and complains too much. they are both interesting and odd characters. I am very interesting to see where this goes!
Stay tuned for more!

Book Talk Tuesday

Grca_badge_winnerOr rather Book Talk Thursday.. Sorry I am so late, I have been crazy busy lately.
So, I just started reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. I'm only about 3% in (when I say just started, I mean just started) haha. So far, in the first few pages it seems ok. I am waiting for the dramma to really kick in.. hold out to next Tuesday and I am sure I will have a lot more to say.

First Rule of Book Club, Never Remember Book Club!

When a bunch of early to mid twenty year old girls get together, drink cheap wine, eat crappy food and talk about made up people as if they are real, you know it's going to be a good time!
We just had our first official get together and set up all of the ground rules. I'm taking to DMReads to let you all be in on the making of our club: Books, Booze and Bitches. haha yes, that is in fact our name.. It couldn't just be book club, we needed something to spice it up and make us laugh!

So here is the plan:

  • We read one book a month, and meet up twice a month. The first get together is to talk about the halfway point or just some random page we turned to. The second get together we will talk about the ending of the book, what we thought and what book we want to read next.
  • The host is pretty much in charge of everything. They pick if there is a theme to the meeting (something that goes along with the current book, a Holiday, Pinterest, what ever). They choose the time, the place, the discussion questions and the next book to read off our list.
  • The host will change each meeting, so that way we don't overwhelm any one person!
  • Clearly everyone can't make every get together, so I made a facebook group where we can post discussions and I am posting here, so feel free to read along with us as well!
  • There is no set time limit we have to stay at someones house. It will probably go until we run out of wine and snacks.
  • We must talk about the book at some point in the middle of our socializing.
  • Other than that. there are no rules.
Here is a link to our  Books to Read List. We are starting off with the first book, "Gone Girl" and reading to page 206. Our next get together is going to be the 23rd of this month!

Our Books to Read List

There are a bunch of books that I really want to get my hands on. I pretty much love all books, but I tend to gravitate towards the easy "vacation reads". My problem: my favorite thing about books is also the worst thing about books. When you have an over active imagination and you find a great writer who has the ability to pull you into a book emotionally you are just setting yourself up for utter heartbreak and disaster. You feel like your world is crashing and then you come back to reality and everyone around is clueless. I needed someone else to understand how I felt, so I started a book club! I'm super excited because a few of my friends jumped on board right away and are helping this idea actually happen!!! We just had our first get together to talk about what we wanted to do and a few bottles of wine later we had everything planned out! We are going to have a list of the books we want to read, and I will cross them off / add more as we go!
Here is our list so far:

Thousands of Spiders Hatching From Beanie Babies?!?

That was a headline I came across while paroosing on facebook. Or rather is was 90's kids rejoice! The spider eggs they used to fill Beanie Babies are finally hatching.

I'm sorry, but honestly, who would rejoice about this?? Clickhole.com posted that the "long awaited day" of baby Brown Recluse spiders hatching from the spider eggs stuffed inside our beloved beanie babies is finally here. If you were anything like myself and my mother, then you bought right into the fad and went a little crazy collecting these little animals of all kinds. They said that the beanie babies served as a protective sac for two decades letting the little spiderlings pass through the larva stage and finally emerge. You could tell they were getting ready to bust out the seams when all of the little legs would poke out trying to break free. This thought terrified me.
The way this article read, it just couldn't be real, so after a little more reading.. and then a lot more digging I was able to find on snopes that this was in fact a false claim. But still!! The idea that this could ever be true freaked the hell out of me! I was about ready to call my mom and insist she get rid of every single one she still had.
There are just a few minor facts that clickhole may have over looked before posting this story.

  • Brown Recluse eggs hatch about a month after being laid- Orkin
  • Beanie babies were never made with eggs. They are plastic pellets. (Besides accidentally breaking them by myself, my dogs have torn apart many. Its a nasty mess of beads to clean up)
  • Clickhole claims that the original 6 beanie babies are the only ones hatching spiders currently. With that said there are 9 original beanie babies created in 1993, not 6, and Peace (the bear pictured) wasn't one of them.
So that was my morning.. Sorry if I terrified you with that headline, but it got me too and I just needed to share this mornings scare with you all! Well that's all for now
